Bezen & Partners represented Van Leeuwen Pipe and Tube Group in its acquisition of Benteler Distribution

Bezen & Partners represented Van Leeuwen Pipe and Tube Group (“Van Leeuwen”), a Dutch distribution conglomerate specialised in the markets of steel pipes and tube applications, on the Turkish law aspects of its acquisition of Benteler Distribution, an international distribution company active in the manufacturing of tubes and other automobile components. 

Benteler Distribution operates in 24 countries and has around 1,600 employees in 59 different locations. Accordingly, with this acquisition, Van Leeuwen expanded its product range and its distribution network.

The involvement of several local counsels in multiple jurisdictions required delicate planning and structuring in order to secure the successful closing of the deal.
