B&P advises First Solar in its sales collaboration deal with Zorlu Holding A.Ş

Bezen & Partners has advised First Solar, a leading global provider of photovoltaic (“PV”) solar systems, on its sales collaboration arrangement with Turkish conglomerate Zorlu Holding A.Ş. The team was led by Senior Partner Yeşim Bezen and Partner Murat Soylu along with other key associates of the firm.

The collaborative sales agreement signed between the two companies will allow Zorlu to carry out the distribution of First Solar’s high-performance thin film PV modules in 26 selected markets, with the aim of expanding First Solar’s global commercial footprint.

The sales agreement between the two companies entails Zorlu becoming a major distributor of First Solar’s modules in the following countries: Turkey, Afghanistan, Albania, Bosnia, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Georgia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Pakistan, Romania, Serbia, Turkmenistan, Ukraine and the Commonwealth of Independent States. Under the terms of the agreement, Zorlu will not only sell PV modules in these markets but will also undertake its own project development activities utilising First Solar’s technology.
