Bezen & Partners Acts for a Turkish Company on a Hotel Franchise Agreement with an International Company



Hyatt International has been working diligently to expand by introducing its new signature brand, Hyatt Centric. The new brand currently has 14 properties and will be welcoming additional hotels to its portfolio in both international and domestic destinations. The brand is location focused, hence the name, with an aim of attracting guests who wish to be at the centre of action at their destination. The new, full service lifestyle brand is designed for and sought-after by both business and leisure travellers and has opened hotels in the heart of some of the world’s most popular cities, including New York, Miami, Paris and Istanbul.

The Istanbul location of the Hyatt Centric hotel can be found in the Levent neighbourhood of Istanbul, where the Marriott Edition hotel once used to be. Levent is both a business and tourist hub and a key location in Istanbul for both business and leisure travellers, with a variety of malls and restaurants for guests to visit during their stay at the Hyatt Centric. The Istanbul Hyatt Centric Hotel is the first Hyatt Centric to open outside of North America and the first between Asia, Europe and Africa to become operational.

The Bezen & Partners team had the chance to be a part of the coming together of this important project, through acting for a Turkish company in regards to providing legal advice for the franchise arrangements pertaining to the Istanbul Hyatt Centric Hotel project.
